Britannia, GCMMF(Amul).

Strengths:• Low operational cost.

• Vast distributional network.

• Well known brands.

• Favorable government policy.

• FDI approval up to 100% in most of the food processing sector.

Opportunities:• Changing lifestyle of people, unused rural market.

• Increased income level & purchase power.

• Large market among age segment.

• Demand in rural areas.

• People spend high on consumer goods.

Weaknesses:• Less scope to invest in technology

• Low export levels.

• Counterfeit products narrow the scope in rural & semi- urban areas.

Threats:• Removal of import restrictions.

• Tax & regulatory structure.

• Rural demand is seasonal & monsoon based.

• Low Consumer tolerance due to available alternatives.

• Inadequate infrastructure.

• Xenophobic attitude of various sections of people.

• No proper marketing in abroad.

• Lack of man made attractions.

• Corruption, Terrorism, begging & cheating.
