Students with Involved FamiliesNo matter what their family income or background may be, students with involved parents/caregivers are more likely to:

• Earn higher grades and test scores • Pass their classes • Attend school regularly• Have better social skills • Graduate and go on to postsecondary education

Use picture books.1st Grade Pick a “word of the day” and play word games.2nd Grade Make your child write thank you letters.3rd Grade Encourage story writing.4th Grade Talk about the news together and look up unknown words
