What is a summer school?
A summer school is usually between 1 – 3 weeks at a University during the summer.
What do you do?
You take a course related to your degree (or not) along with a social programme. There are students from across the world attend.
Why do it? • Chance to take a class in a subject not available at Strathclyde • If you can’t commit to a semester exchange, an opportunity to go
abroad. • Avoids class matching • More affordable • Offers a taster of a country and culture

• HASS students can apply via David Roxburgh to summer programmes in South Korea - contact david.roxburgh@strath.ac.uk
• Business School students have a range of summer schools available through a separate application – contact sbs-exchange@strath.ac.uk
• You can also apply to other summer schools, that may or not be partner universities of Strathclyde, either by location or a university that you are interested in going to.

It is a training/internship at any European Organisation. Types of eligible placements are: - Work placements- Volunteering- Internships- Research Projects- Any kind of valuable work experience, relevant to your degree
• Must be a minimum of 60 days
• Can participate after your first year (summer) onwards) until the year after graduation.
