STANDARDSOFCONDUCT
Yourcontinuedassignmentasasubstituteteacheriscontingentuponyourabilitytocomplywithprofessionalstandardsofconduct.Ourschoolcommunityisdiverse.Sensitivitytoracial,ethnic,cultural,socio-economic,andreligiousdifferencesisrequiredofallemployees.Employeesmustsafeguardtheprivacyofallstudentinformationkeptinschools,whetheronpaper,onthecomputer,orinoralcommunications.
PROFESSIONALISMYourjobasaprofessionalintheclassroomistoengagestudentsinmeaningfulwork.YourtaskeachdayistomakesureSTUDENTLEARNINGoccurs.ThisisWheatland’soverallmission.Tohelpestablishyourprofessionalism,pleasedressappropriatelywhenteaching.Ifyoulooklikeaprofessional,studentswillbemorelikelytotreatyouasone.Itisalsoimportanttokeepinmindthegradelevelandsubjectwhendressing.Teachingphysicaleducation,forexample,requiresthatyoudressdifferentlythanwhenyouareteaching4thgradeormiddleschoolmathematics.

Thesubstituteteacherhastheprimeresponsibilitytoteach,aswellaspossible,whattheregularteacherhasoutlined.Thefollowingsuggestionswillhelpyoueliminateclassroommanagementproblems,establishgoodclassroomroutine,provideanefficientlearningsituation,andestablishmutualrespectbetweenyouandthestudents.

duringthattime.At7:50am,studentscanbeginmakingtheirwaytotheirWarhawkclassroom.4. AttendanceshouldbeenteredintoSkywardby9:00amorearlier.5. Whensendingastudenttotheoffice,pleasesendthemwithapassthatclearlystatestheirreason
fortheofficevisitorcallthemainoffice(ext.3905)andlettheofficeknowwhythestudentiscomingtotheoffice.
6. Reviewtheemergencyguidelinespostedineachroom.Pleaseknowtheproceduresforlockdowns,firedrillsandtornadodrills.
