Subject: Invitation the NRF Retail Big Show - NYC
Dear, We are happy to invite you to join IBM at the National Retail Federation’s annual convention held January 17-20, 2016 in New York City! This flagship industry event offers unparalleled education, networking with 30,000 global attendees, and an enormous EXPO Hall of new technologies and solutions. As a guest of IBM, you’ll hear from and network with industry leaders and your peers in the retail and consumer goods industry. Here are some highlights:
NRF Keynote Sessions: hear from leaders in retail and former US Secretary of State Colin Powell
Innovate! Personalized Store Tour in NYC: discover the most innovating stores of Manhattan through a guided tour customized for our Benelux delegation. We will carefully select the stores this year around four innovation angles: technology, store concept, merchandising and omni-channel user experience.
Peer-to-Peer Roundtables: discuss best practices and trends in your industry with your peers and an expert facilitator. At your request, share experiences from your peers from Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Italy or other countries (on request).
IBM Big !deas Sessions: learn about IBM’s exciting new partnership with the Fung Group and the very latest research-based insights for Retail and Consumer Goods including a proactive, informed 2025 point-of-view. Meet Watson, and explore what cognitive computing can bring to your business.
IBM EXPO Booth: get the live experience of IBM’s cutting-edge retail solutions, guided by a Benelux Retail specialist.
Hot Topics Briefings: learn about a full range of industry topics from experts.
We are happy to offer you either a free entry pass to the EXPO Hall courtesy of IBM, or the opportunity to benefit from our Benelux study tour group booking at NRF at the reduced rate of $1000 for the FULL conference pass, instead of $2,250. The expo pass will give you access to the expo hall, the full pass will also allow you to attend the conferences. While you remain responsible to book your own travel and accommodation, we are proposing some flights and are recommending one of the NRF official hotels proposing a shuttle service to the NRF to select if you wish. This will allow us to stay at the same hotel for an increased networking between your peers and facilitate the logistics. The NYC store tour and the other activities will depart from this hotel.

Why join IBM at NRF?
The National Retail Federation (NRF) Annual Convention and Expo in considered the peak industry moment for retail. As
the industry’s largest global retail convention, you will be joined by over 30,000 of your peers in retail from 50+ countries.
In an era of digital disruption, retailers must adjust to three major changes in the industry. First: the physical and digital
worlds have merged as people and devices become an intertwined Internet-of-Things. Second: the ability to use data –
collect it, analyze it, act on it – sets successful and unsuccessful retailers apart. Finally: businesses must quickly experiment
to differentiate, and adopt new business models to scale and compete globally.
IBM can help you make adjustments. With our cognitive computing capabilities, you can predict customers’ wants and
aspirations so that you have the right merchandise, service and associates. With the world’s largest digital agency, you can
craft delightful experiences to engage customers and differentiate your brand. With our open, secure cloud and development
environments, you can quickly implement new business models and ecosystems. IBM can bring you all these capabilities so
that you can be the successful retailer of the future.
IBM retail subject matter experts will meet with you face to face or in our booth, to share with you the IBM vision of where
retail is going and how IBM is helping retailers solve their business problems.
NRF 2016 marks over two decades of IBM as a prominent sponsor.
In this context IBM in Belgium and The Netherland has been organizing study tours to the NRF for its customers and
partners since many years. We are giving a local touch to this event by allowing you to network with your peers during the
event, and benefit from a targeted customization of the agenda to your specific needs.
Over the years, our guided NYC store tour became one of the main highlights of the study tour.
