Step 1: Create the surrounding moat

Choose a location for your drawbridge and moat. Create the surrounding moat using

cobblestone:

Step 2: Add Redstone torches

Dig 4 blocks down, 4 blocks wide and 6 blocks long where you want the drawbridge to be:

Build cobblestone blocks 2 blocks apart and place Redstone torches on the inner side.

Step 3: Create a Redstone circuit

Create a circuit on these blocks using Redstone.

Test the circuit with a lever.

Step 4: Place sticky piston blocks

Place Sticky Piston blocks on top of the Redstone torches facing upwards.

Make sure they are 1 block below where the bridge will connect to your village house.

Step 5: Cover sticky piston blocks and test the bridge

Cover the sticky piston blocks with cobblestone.

Step 6: Cover the Redstone circuit

Cover the Redstone circuit, 1 block above using an Oakwood slab. This covers the hole next

to the lever to prevent breaking the circuit - if not fully covered, the water will wash away

the Redstone.

Step 7: Fill the moat with water

Ask your teacher to fill the moat with water using a water bucket.
