Dear Parents 17th April, 2014

I welcome your ward to class IX . I am sure that the children will have an extremely interesting and interactive learning experience through CCE . The Orientation Kit for std IX is on the website for your perusal . Adolescence is a challenging time and you will see a lot of changes in your child especially emotional. We need to keep engaged .

It would be helpful to both you and your child if you keep connected with the supervisor, class teacher and the principal . Please feel free to communicate with me at ameetam@gmail.com.

e- technology.Assessed on content, presentation and

research done by the studentThe student is expected to answer a ‘viva’

on the project.

There should be a proper balance between the visuals and the written work.

Adults to oversee and guide the children ONLY. Any help in the form of writing, illustrations, labeling etc. should not be done by the elders.

Any project purchased from the market will be identified and disqualified.

Details of homework will be given in the first week of May.

SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT(SA)

Will be Term End Examination:

•Curriculum and syllabus circulated in advance

•Question papers as per the CBSE format.

•Exam to be conducted by schools

•Evaluation of Answer scripts will be done with in the school.

ASSESSMENT FOR AN ACADEMIC YEAR

•Term I - FA1 and FA2

A qualifying grade D in all subjects is required for promotion.

Up gradation to be done in a maximum of 2 subjects depending on the Co scholastic performance

IMPROVEMENT CHANCE

If a student gets E1 or E2 in one or more subjects he/she will be given one subsequent chance to obtain a qualifying grade.

If the student fails to get qualifying grade D after availing one improvement chance he/she will be required to repeat the class.

It is mandatory to appear in both SA1 & SA2.

In case of sickness the student will be required to appear with the other candidates availing the improvement chance.
