Teaching and Learning

Technology brings the world to the classroom and provides tools to see the world beyond current boundaries

Teachers must be facilitators, mentors, and co-learners

Students must have access to relevant technologies, tools, resources and services for individualized instruction 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Students communicate effectively in a variety of formats for diverse audiences.

NCLB says 8th graders must be technology literate

On-going professional development

Weatherford High School is Advanced in 3 out of the 4 areas of the Texas STaR Chart

Our weakest area is Educator Preparation with a score of 13 in 2008-09

Our strongest area is Infrastructure for Technology with a score of 17 in 2008-09

Our long-term goal for all four areas is Target Tech which requires a score of 21.
