Enjoy these pages from my genealogical search from the St. Kitts Archives 1853 and following years. These are the pages I photographed with my iphone. Maybe your family surnames are among the pages I captured as I looked for my family as well. Remain blessed in your search and have faith. I have found everyone in my maternal and paternal family except two people! The Lord has led my search and has led me to a very exhaustive find of everyone! Surnames from the Caribbean: Collins Heyliger Write For More They Were A Blessing: ST. KITTS ARCHIVES Civil registration began on St. Kitts in 1855. Some earlier records exist in the first volume of extant St. Kitts Vital Records. The no surviving Catholic records on the island prior to 1865. PUBLIC RECORDS INSTITUTE: St. Kitts Island Government MATERIALS: Death registers from 1880; marriage bonds and registers from 1771; Slave Returns 1817-1834; deed books, and other records. ACCESS: Limited on site access. Be sure to make an appointment with the archivist in advance.
