Overview of Montessori in CIT CIT, in partnership with Cork College of Commerce,

is offering a new BA (Honours) in Montessori Education from September 2012.

CIT is the first Irish third-level college outside of Dublin to offer students an opportunity to study for an honours degree in Montessori Education. 

It is a two year, full time programme leading to a NFQ Level 8 award. The degree includes supervised internship as well as practical and research experience.

Eligibility to ApplyEligibility:To be eligible to apply students must have achieved a full FETAC Level 6 award in Montessori (relating to the 3-6 year old child)

Admission Requirements:Applications for the BA (Honours) in Montessori Education are invited from students with a merit profile and a minimum of 2 distinctions.

We have a partnership with Cork College of Commerce but welcome applications from ALL students who have an equivalent qualification (i.e. a FETAC 6 in Montessori – with a merit profile and minimum of 2 distinctions).

Application Process

Application for the BA (Honours) in Montessori Education is by Direct Entry only. ‘Application Form Full Time Courses’ may be downloaded from admission@cit.ie

Completed forms must be returned to the Admissions Office, Cork Institute of Technology, Bishopstown, Cork.

Completed Application Forms must be submitted on or before 1st May 2012.
