WEATHERWEATHER• Indonesia has a hot, humid

climate.• They have two seasons:

Wet and Dry. They are based on rainfall, not temperature.

• The average temperature is 27 ° in the mainlands, but it’s lower in the highlands.

• Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year, but there are lots of heavy downpours in the wet season.

is rice, boiled or fried. The main meats are water buffalo, beef and chicken. Coffee and tea are popular drinks.

• Many Indonesians enjoy European and American sports like soccer and badminton. They also like tennis, volleyball and swimming.

• More than 85% of people are muslims. Bali and western lombok have their own religion, bali-Hinduism. It is based on hinduism but features balienese and javanese traditions.

• Frequent rain is common in Ireland.

People of Ireland• The island of Ireland is divided in

two. In the north is Northern Ireland, a province of the UK, and in the south is the Republic of Ireland, and independent country. Many Irish want to be united as one.

• Many people living Ireland trace back to the Celts and Vikings. Most people who aren’t either are English. Many descendants of Scots who were sent to Ireland in the 17th Century still live here today.

• Music, dance, film and art are important in Ireland. Dublin holds annual jazz and film festivals that attract visitors from all over the world. Gaelic football is the most popular sport.

Geographical + Environmental• The River Shannon is the longest

river. It begins in Northwest Ireland and it flows 370 km into the Atlantic Ocean. Most of Ireland’s lakes lie in the west.

• The lowlands cover most of central Ireland. The lowlands include some wooded areas but mostly are made up of farmlands. Most of the mountains rise near the coast and border the lowlands.

• Ireland’s highest peak is 3414 ft at Carrauntoohil in the Mountains of Kerry. The city of Dublin

• The American Cultural Icons are: Apple Pie, the American Flag and a Baseball Bat.

• The USA hold many film, TV and music awards, like the Academy Awards, the Emmys and the Grammys.

• Disneyland is in Anaheim, California. It opened on July 18 1955. Hollywood is also in the USA and has released some of the biggest films in history.

• These are some American holidays: Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Martin Luther King Jr Day.

• Some famous actors are: Matt Damon, who has been nominated for three Academy Awards, and he won one for co-writing “Good Will Hunting” with Ben Affleck in 1997.Sandra Bullock, who won the Best Actress at the Academy Awards this year for “The Blind Side”.

• President Barak Obama is the 44th and current President of the USA, and is also the first President to be African-American.
