Major System ComponentsBased on a professional evaluation of your available roofspace, site configuration, and energy demand,ReVision Energy proposes a roof-mounted photovoltaic array of 4.59 kilowatts (nominal).
The system features these major components:
• (1) SMA Sunny Boy 4000 US Transformerless grid-tied solar electric inverter (www.sma-america.com)
• (18) Renesola 255w PV Module (www.renesola.com) or equivalent• (1) Installation of Web Connection monitoring option for SMA Sunny Boy inverters; includes Web
Connect Card, wiring and initial set-up to internet
System OperationWhenever sun shines on the solar electric panels, they will generate direct current (DC) electricity. That DCelectricity is transmitted to an inverter, which then converts it into AC electricity which can be used in yourhome. Any electric loads (TV, dryer, electronics, etc.) operating while the sun is shining will use available solarelectricity. Any excess will flow out to the grid and you will receive a credit for the production.
Whenever the sun is not out, you will continue to purchase grid electricity as you do now. The local utilitycompany will record electricity you feed into the grid. If at the end of the month your generation is greaterthan your consumption, you will earn a credit on your next bill. Credits are carried forward month-to-month.

Sample System
Above is a grid tied solar electric system installed by ReVision Energy. These black on blackmodules are similar to the modules we have proposed using at your home.
System Monitoring Via Internet Portal
Your system includes access to SMA's proprietarySunnyPortal web-based data-monitoring system. Itis a free service supported and maintained by theinverter manufacturer, SMA, with initial set-up byReVision Energy.
This web-based tool allows you to view solar arrayperformance in real-time from any location withaccess to the internet, as well as mobile devicesusing an iOS or Android app.
The view at left shows standard features - currentarray production, production over time, and offsetdisplayed in both financial terms (based on a priceper kWh) and environmental savings.
Monthly production reports and error notificationsmay also be sent to you and ReVision Energy viaemail. This allows us to monitor systemperformance and ensure proper operation.

Emergency Power SupplyWith most grid-tied inverters, when the grid loses power, the solararray shuts down. The SMA TL (transformer-less) inverter allowsup to 1,500 watts of daytime energy to be isolated from the gridand fed directly to a dedicated 120-volt power outlet, which islocated at the inverter.
When utility power is not available, simply flip a switch to energizethe dedicated inverter outlet. In general, small devices such as cellphone and laptop chargers or portable radios may be powered, while large appliances like refrigerators, freezers and well pumpsmay not.
The power provided by the Secure Power Supply will vary with sunconditions, so connected loads may be shut off if sun exposure is limited. The Secure Power Supply gives youthe peace of mind and convenience of having independent power production as long as the PV system isoperating.

Special Notes
• System production predictions are based on weather data specific to your location and adjustedbased on conditions at your site. Snow accumulation and shading of the array will effect systemproduction. We have done our best to factor these into performance estimates, howeverproduction will vary from year to year. Data estimates based on that of NREL PVWatts: http://rredc.nrel.gov/solar/calculators/PVWATTS/version1/. However, such estimates are for informational purposes only. Due to the large number of variablesaffecting efficiency and performance that are beyond ReVision Energy’s control, ReVision Energymakes no warranty or guaranty that the equipment or system installed in accordance with thisproposal shall perform in accordance with such estimates.
• Estimates of federal tax credits and state rebates are provided to the best to our knowledge. We willassist with processing of state and local rebates, however, note that some rebate programs are first-come first-serve with limited funding and we cannot guarantee you will receive them. Also, thestate rebate may be taxed as income depending on your tax filing. ReVision Energy does not providetax advice; you may wish to consult with a professional tax advisor to review the implications ofstate and federal solar incentives based on your tax situation.

in all types of climates and for longer periods of time than with most traditional string inverters.
Secure Power Supply
One of many unique features of the TL-US residential series is its innovative Secure Power Supply. With most grid-tied inverters, when the grid goes down, so does the solar-powered home. SMA’s solution provides daytime energy to a dedicated power outlet during prolonged grid outages, providing homeowners with access to power as long as the sun shines.
Simple installation
As a transformerless inverter, the TL-US residential series is lighter in weight than its transformer-based counterparts, making it easier to lift and transport. A new wall mounting plate features anti-theft security and makes hanging the inverter quick and easy. A simplified DC wiring concept allows the DC disconnect to be used as a wire raceway, saving labor and materials.
The 3800TL-US and 7700TL-US models allow installers to maximize system size and energy production for customers with 100 A and 200 A service panels.
Leading monitoring and control solutions
The new TL-US residential line features more than high performance and a large graphic display. The monitoring and control options provide users with an outstanding degree of flexibility. Multiple communication options allow for a highly controllable inverter and one that can be monitored on Sunny Portal from anywhere on the planet via an Internet connection. Whether communicating through RS485, or SMA’s new plug-and-play WebConnect, installers can find an optimal solution to their monitoring needs.
Wide Power Class Range
Whether you’re looking for a model to maximize a 100 A service panel or trying to meet the needs of a larger residential PV system, the Sunny Boy TL-US with Secure Power Supply has you covered. Its wide range of power classes—from 3 to 7.7 kW—offers customers the right size for virtually any residential application. The TL-US series is not only the smartest inverter on the planet, it’s also the most flexible.
Transformerless design
The Sunny Boy 3000TL-US / 3800TL-US / 4000TL-US / 5000TL-US / 6000TL-US / 7000TL-US / 7700TL-US are transformerless inverters, which means owners and installers benefit from high efficiency and lower weight. A wide input voltage range also means the inverters will produce high amounts of power under a number of conditions.
Additionally, transformerless inverters have been shown to be among the safest string inverters on the market. An industry first, the TL-US series has been tested to UL 1741 and UL 1699B and is in compliance with the arc fault requirements of NEC 2011.
Increased energy production
OptiTrac™ Global Peak, SMA’s shade-tolerant MPP tracking algorithm, quickly adjusts to changes in solar irradiation, which mitigates the effects of shade and results in higher total power output. And, with two MPP trackers, the TL-US series can ably handle complex roofs with multiple orientations or string lengths.
An extended operating temperature range of -40 °F to +140 °F ensures power is produced
