Growth in the number of majors and minors has slowed, because we have begun graduating about 15 students a year. Also restricted admissions will probably slow growth in coming years.

Global Studies continues to apply for grants and contracts in support of its instruction and research, especially since the initiation of the Silicon Valley Center for Global Innovation and Immigration (SVCGII).

In early years Global Studies co-sponsored many events with the Commonwealth Club, but they diminished with the retirement of Trish Newfarmer. The new Global Students Club offers additional campus activities not counted here.
