So what have we done to support this growth? We’ve invested in a state of the art manufacturing facility in Leeds

We offer more in the way of a ‘Total Solution’ to our clients

Increased all aspects of in-house design capacity

We’ve doubled our production capabilities

We are PAW Structures & SIGMAT Ltd

& we are self-sufficient

Indicative parameters

So why choose LGSF over traditional & other methods of construction?

So why wouldn’t you choose LGSF?

If Architects, Engineers, Developers & Main Contractors raise their awareness to what the

Sigmat load bearing light gauge steel system can offer and achieve, more residential

apartments schemes would be built. I have to point out that within the light gauge steel industry

as with any industry, you’re not always comparing ‘apples with apples’.

The Sigmat system is better engineered and designed to enable us to build suitable

structures to 15 storeys and all complete with concrete floors as standard. There is a

perception within the Construction Industry that LGSF only goes to 9 or 10 storeys at a push.

By increasing this awareness and getting more of the major players in house building on board

with this MMC, they’ll be able to build more apartments in taller blocks, faster.

So is it a good idea to move away from traditional methods of construction in some areas of the

residential housing market

YES - Whether it’s Affordable, PRS or Built for Sale, the housing model has had to adapt to modern

methods of living that’s been forced upon the sector by a number of external factors

Developers seem to be looking to create a sense of community with residential schemes by

designing in Gyms, Cafés & other Communal/Social areas such as roof terraces and this is where

modern methods of construction with the larger residential apartments schemes come into play

It can support this ideology by building smarter and offering Offsite manufacture. Load bearing Light

Gauge Steel Framing is one of the options available on the market and it will increase the speed &

efficiency of housing delivery within the residential apartment sector

When compared to traditional masonry construction, it will cut construction time by approx. 50%
