Senior Home Care Franchise Opportunity

2010 Ranking: #181

BrightStar is the first senior home care franchising company to specialize in both

medical, non-medical homecare and medical staffing.

Within 10 years there will be over 54 million people over

the age of 65. That’s almost 16% of the U.S. population.

In fact, the number of Americans 65 and older is expected to more than double to 89 million by 2050, according to the Census Bureau.

Taking into account this unprecedented rate of growth, with the fact that according to AARP, 88% of its members want to age in their own homes, the entire home care service industry

will only experience enormous growth for the next 50 years..

BrightStar, a full-service healthcare staffing agency that provides medical and non-medical homecare, has been

ranked on the Inc. 500|5000 2010 list of the fastest-growing companies as #181, up from #217 last year.

BrightStar Moves Up the Ranks on Inc. 500|5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies.

One of the most prestigious honors in American business, the Inc. 500|5000 list ranks the 5,000 fastest-growing companies based on revenue growth over the span of the three prior years: for the 2010 award it was for growth from 2007 through 2009.

“In today’s business world, you have to surround

yourself with premier people that take pride in the work and go above and beyond normal duties,” said Shelly Sun, Co-Founder and CEO

of BrightStar.

“With an outstanding franchise system of hard-working entrepreneurs, this ranking is a tribute to their commitment to our company and customer service and we are ecstatic to be recognized for

our continuous growth.”

”BrightStar has been moving up through the Inc. 500|5000 ranks

over the past years, ranking #2225 in 2007, #1988 in 2008, #217 in 2009 and now #181 in 2010.

The 2010 Inc. 500|5000 is revealed online at www.inc.com and featured in the September 2010 issue of Inc. Magazine, the premier publication for small and

medium-sized businesses.

The Inc. 500 ranks privately held companies according to averaged year-over-year sales growth during the past five years.

“We look forward to another year of success and growth,” added Sun. “BrightStar continues on the path for growth as we just became the first

franchisor approved for a $6 million facility created by Bancorp and Franchise America

Finance™ to expand our business and we also recently expanded internationally signing our

first deal in Canada.”

BrightStar has been in business since 2002 and has been franchising since 2005. In the three years since

launching BrightStar in March 2006, BrightStar has grown to 115 franchisees with nearly 165 locations sold

and with over 110 locations already open.

BrightStar leverages its unique differentiation of technology to provide franchisees real-time key performance indicators for customer retention, mark-up and margin, employee turnover and mix of business so each franchisee can benchmark themselves to local, regional and national system averages, highs and lows and leverage field support to improve performance.

Through Shelly’s leadership, BrightStar has grown from one corporate-owned location to over 160 independently-owned franchise locations in 35 states, and will reach 400 franchise locations sold by the end of 2011.

Using a multi-unit owner approach, BrightStar currently signs 5-8 new franchisees and 10-14 new locations per month and has experienced 963 percent growth in the number of locations and 811 percent system-wide revenue growth from 2006 to 2008.
