1997 - transition year - five numbers were active at the same time (till 31 December 1997):
• three different numbers for rescue services -93 for Firefighters, 94 for Ambulance, 985 for Emergency Notification Center 112 Emergency Call Number
• one number 92 for police 113 Police Emergency Number
Broad campaign in various media and public schools to introduce the NEW 112 Emergency Call Number to the general public - jointly with the Ministry of the Interior for the Police Emergency Number 113)
