• The occupant of this tomb, from 2000 B.C. was Djehutynahkt .He was a Governor in Egypt's middle kingdom . It is perhaps the finest Middle Kingdom coffin in existence.

• In a 1915 excavation, archaeologists from the Harvard University-Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition discovered this tomb.

Djehutynakht stocked his tomb with everything the Egyptians believed the dead needed for the next life.

The Bersha Coffin

• The tomb contained four beautifully painted coffins.

• The tomb also included Djehutynakht’s walking sticks, pottery, canopic jar, and miniature wooden models that were made for the burial….
