Direct Polytechnic Admission (DPA)

• To confirm a place in a polytechnic course prior to sitting for GCE O-Level examinations

• Each polytechnic has its own selection criteria

• Will take into account students’ abilities, talents and interests in the specific courses. For example, a student’s passion and talents in film and video production would be considered when he applies through the DPA for a polytechnic course in Media Studies.

Direct Polytechnic Admission (DPA)

• To ensure that students admitted through DPA will be able to cope with the rigours of a polytechnic education, applicants will also have to meet the prevailing polytechnic admission criteria, i.e.:

• obtain a net ELR2B2 score of not more than 26 points for the GCE ‘O’ level examinations; and

• meet the Minimum Entry Requirements (MER) for their respective polytechnic courses. (The MER for each polytechnic course can be found on the polytechnics’ websites.)

Direct Polytechnic Admission (DPA)

• Successful DPA applicants will participate in Polytechnic Preparatory Programme (PPP), from mid-January 2015 to March 2015.

• Students will engage in activities such as industry visits, student camps and leadership development activities. These activities aim to broaden the students’ learning experience and better orientate them to the polytechnic environment.

Direct School Admission-JC

• Each JC or institution will admit students according to its own merit-based admission criteria (academic and / or non-academic criteria), based on the student personal qualities and the areas of focus (such as leadership, science, music, sports) that the JC or institution would like to emphasise.

Direct School Admission -JC

DSA-JC Exercise 2013 (for 2014 intake): • Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) • Hwa Chong Institution • National Junior College • Raffles Institution • School of the Arts,Singapore • St. Joseph’s Institution • Temasek Junior College • Victoria Junior College

Direct School Admission -JC
