Cartesians Album Art

I created album art for the Cartesians EP and single releases. I added a puzzle effect to an existing piece of a wolf to symbolize the loss of one’s mind reflected in the lyrics of the EP. The band desired a spacy feel with a simple balanced design for the single “Stealing Secrets of the Sun” release. I went with the ‘Prometheus’ font for its minimal & futuristic style, and recreated the sun through the use of milk and paint in a bowl.

NCSSRI RedesignThis project was a website redesign for a Rhode Island Neurophyshologist company. Responsive design was a big part in moving them into the modern age of web design. This site was recreated using Foundation 5 and all of their prior websites information. I wanted it to look clean on any sized screen, from monitor to phone. Photos were provided from a stock photography site.

Skate Create

S K A T E

Skate Create was a brand I created to support the growth of skating in America. I wanted a clean design that had a ‘man-made’ aspect to it. Shirts, promo flyers, stencils and a website were designed to accompany the organization.

Mists Lyric VideoI filmed my friend in a few locations around Providence for a typographic lyrics video. The vocals and lyrics are his own. I attempted to find locations and implement multiple aspects of mise-en-scene that complimented the lyrics and his energy on camera.

ACLU PamphletThis project involved taking an existing organization and producing believable informative handouts or pamphlets. I went with a tabbed design booklet on what the ACLU stands for and some information on todays Internet Privacy & people’s rights.

OK GO ArticleThe idea behind this project was bringing an internet article to life. I found an interesting read on the process behind OK GO’s recording in the Arctic Circle, and transferred it from a website to a magazine format. All photos inside are originals, while the cover was taken from the article itself and edited by me.

Article to EditorialThe aim for this was to take an article about headphones and roll with the percieved depressing viewpoint of how they cut us off from the world. To nudge the reader in this direction I used dark colors, grungy textures and brushes along with gritty and heavy fonts. All photography is my own.

Material DesignsMaterial Design is a design language develeoped by Google that uses basic design principles to create a clean professional look. I was inspired by their usage of light and shadows to create imagery and depth in simplistic ways. These all are combinations of shapes with light/shadow.

FTDC Web DesignIn Design Solutions my team had to rebrand the Feinstein Technology & Design Center. This project encompassed a rebrand for the FTDC and building a functioning website through Foundation 6. The next steps include transferring this coded web page into a Wordpress theme for easy future edits.

Culinary BrandingDesigners were grouped with culinary students to bring their restaurant concepts to life. I brought ‘Journey’ to life with the given information of a modern fine dining experience that specialized in duck and pork based entree’s. Work includes the brand identity and menu/business card creation.

Life, Death & Everything Inbetween

Logo ChallengeHere is a collection of logos I have created for the 30 Day Logo Challenge. This challenge pushes designers to create a fictitious company or organization and give it a purpose & personality. Some of these are rebrands of existing companies (Waterfront, F.lux).
