Tuesday 25th (midnight) – Friday 28th June

o Itinerary

Meeting Time:

Tuesday 24th June, 11:45 pm.

Venue:

Groby Community College, Ratby Road, Groby

Wednesday 26th 11:45 (Tuesday): Parents to arrive at GCC.

00:15: Coach leaves for the drive to Dover.

04:15: Coach to arrive at Dover.

05:15: Ferry leaves for a 1:30 minutes crossing to Calais.

07:45: Boat arrives at Calais and on its way to Paris Musée d’Orsay

11:00: Lunch break at Hypermarket on our way to Paris.

12:45: Arrive at the Musée d’Orsay and visit.

16:00: Arrival at the Stade de France and guided tour of the stadium.

18:00: Bus stop at a supermarket to buy dinner

18:30: Arrival at the Ibis Hôtel.

19:30: Dinner

Thursday 27th

8:00: Time to wake up and get ready for Parc Astérix. A full buffet breakfast will be provided.

10:00: Arrival at Parc Astérix.

12:30: All students to go to the “meeting point” for lunch.

17:30: Departure from Parc Astérix

18:00: Bus stop at a supermarket to buy dinner

19:00: Return to hotel Ibis and dinner.

Friday 28th

08:00: Wake-up and pack.

08:30: Breakfast.

09:30: Leave hotel for Montmartre and Le Sacré Coeur.

12:00: Leave Paris for short drive to Calais .

12:30: Lunch break at Hypermarket on outskirts of Paris.

17:00: Check-in at the DFDS Ferry Terminal, Calais.

18:00: Boat leaves Calais for Dover.

22:00: (English time) Estimated arrival time at Groby CommunityCollege.

o Groups- Students divided into 5 groups

- Each group will have a teacher as a group leader.

- Students to follow all instructions so they can hear meeting times and places

- No student to be alone. Always in groups of 4 and at least one person should have a mobile phone.

- Students to be issued with contact card

We need written permission if your child needs to take any medication and parental consent in event of any trip to Dr or hospital. Make sure you have filled in the form.

Food: 30 euros per day

o General

- Passport: Individual passports that teachers will keep in a safe. Please bring them to reception by the 5th June at the latest.

- EHIC: Please bring to reception by 5th June at the latest.

- Insurance: All staff and students covered.

o General

- Preparation: Sleep, food/drink, travel sick?

- Work: Catch up with any missed work.

- Photos: School displays & newsletters

- Emergency Numbers: each students will be issued a contact card and parents will receive by post a letter with all the contact details.
