• Allows instructors to record, calculate, and communicate grade information

• Students may view grade information that has been released by the instructor

• Originally developed by UC Berkeley

• Indiana University retiring legacy system– Needed to achieve functional parity with legacy

gradebook tool

• IU has now taken over development
