Established in 1871 Dues to get in were only 1 dollar every

month! Had to be at least 14 to enroll First year only 40 enrolled ,mostly women

There are no school colors or mascot because sfai is an art institute not a university.

ART PROGRAMS

There is a lot of different art programs at sfai like visual and performing arts that include singing, dancing, painting, sculpting, and costume designing!

INTRAMURAL ACTIVITIES

There are no intramural activities at sfai because its an institute not a university it’s a specialized school you go there for a specific purpose: the arts, not sports.

STUDENT LIFE

There are a lot of activities to do in your spare time at the San Francisco Art Institute like Yoga Classes, Art Contests, Dance and singing competitions, and most of them can become extra credit!

LIVING QUARTERS

There is a few different choices for dorms if you want to live on campus.

You can share a dorm, which is the cheapest choice

You can also have your own room which is a more expensive choice.

You do have to live on campus as a freshman
