ABOUT SHRI SHAKTI ALTERNATIVE ENERGY LIMITED, HYDERABAD
0Developing the 100MW Rajasthan Solar Processing Zone
0 Judged as one of the most promising clean energy investment opportunities in Asia.
0Completed several consultancy projects for the World Bank, ADB, KWF, UNIDO, UNICEF
ROOFTOP PV SYSTEM
0 Installed on rooftops of residential or commercial buildings
0Can cope up with substantial growth in peak electricity demand
0Can be with or without grid interaction.
0Create economic value for unutilized rooftops and are not faced with the issues of land availability
OBJECTIVE OF INSTALLING ROOFTOP SOLAR PV SYSTEM0On national level, reduces requirement of land for
addition of solar capacities.
0It reduces the dependency of the consumer on grid power and mitigates the dependency on diesel generator.
0To provide access to electricity to all rural households especially where grid connectivity is not a cost effective solution. .

40kWp Grid Interactive Rooftop PV Power Plant at IHM,Shri Shakti, Hyderabad
0 FEATURES OF THE PLANT0 40kWp Grid Connected System
0 Located at Begumpet, Hyderabad
0 800 sq. m. available vacant rooftop area
0 Implementation in 2 parts: 18kWp(fixed) and 22kWp(with tracking)
0 Annual Energy Generation: 70MWh
LOCATION0Adjacent to Hotel Fortune Select Manohar, Begumpet,
Hyderabad0Old Rajiv Gandhi Airport in the North0Metrological Observatory, Hyderabad in North East
SITE DESCRIPTION
• Rooftop has a skylight system with dome like structures for natural lighting.
• The skylight has an area of around 330 sq meters .
• Could be used for SPV installation of 18kWp without affecting the natural lighting
• Rest of the terrace has around 475 sq meters of vacant area which could be used for SPV installation of 22kWp.
TOOLS/INSTRUMENTS USED FOR ANALYSIS OF SPV SYSTEM
0SEAWARD PV 150 SOLARLINK KIT
0SOLMETRIC SUNEYE 210 SHADE TOOL
INTEGRATION OF PV POWER WITH GRID
0The output power from SPV would be fed to the inverter0 In case of grid failure, or low or high voltage, solar PV
system shall be out of synchronization and shall be disconnected from the grid.
0The out put power from inverter would be fed to the panel of 320 KVA DG set with changeover switch at IHM
0On the week end and other holidays, almost the entire energy from the SPV module would be fed into the grid.
METERING SCHEME
0An Import/Export meter will be installed for metering for billing purpose
0Would also serve the purpose of registering the net export and import to the grid.
0A meter would also be installed at the output side of the inverter to register the energy output from the SPV power plant.
IMPLEMENTATION OF WORK0Plant in primary stage0Equipments have been procured0Full Implementation yet to be done
