Traffic Analysis
• Road Diet Analysis
• Traffic analysis was completed by MDOT SHA.
• Traffic analysis numbers predict future traffic conditions with a road diet will be comparable to the existing traffic condition.
• Traffic signals will be optimized throughout the corridor to minimize exasperating vehicular traffic operations.

Current Status and Next Steps
• Design has reached 30% design completion.
• Additional Right of way (ROW) will be required for Storm Water Management.
• The extent of right of way need will be finalized after supplemental metes and bounds surveys are complete. Anticipated to be done by the end of October.
• Coordination with CSX transportation will be required to ensure smooth ROW transaction.
• Estimated construction date would be based on right of way.
Public Meeting and Outreach
• A mandatory referral in partnership with the city of Hyattsville and M-NCPPC(Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission) will be scheduled prior to the end of the year.
• A public meeting will be coordinated with City officials subsequent to the Mandatory referral.
