DESCRIPTION

This slide describes the development of mobile social learning system as a part of social e-Learning system. The research leverages Java Android technology as a platform on the mobile device and Java EE as a platform on server. Multitier architecture and RESTFUL web service are also implemented in this research as an important consideration to provide high performance system. To test system performance, The research used JMeter as a tool to identify system capability such as response time and throughput.

1. First Test Implements single tier Architecture. Presentation Tier, Business Tier, and Data Tier are placed on same machine.

2. Second Test Implements multitier Architecture. Each tier is placed on different machine with 2GB and 4GB RAM respectively

3. Windows 2008 Server 64 Bit is used as server platform in each virtualized machine

4. JMeter is used as a tool for load test
