Guidelines for Editing of “Airline Sensitive Material”

• Material displaying pictures of civilian air crashes.

• Material on airport security when directly connected to a recent civilian air crash.

• Material on terrorist attacks on airports.

• Material depicting specific events of a current or recent hijack which could cause distress to a trapped audience.

• News items which concentrate on airport security in general. For example, this type of footage may appear in the news sometime after a particular hijack attempt or civilian air crash.

• Material displaying military air crashes which is as a result of ongoing or recent military conflicts. An example of such footage would be reports on conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan etc.
