Traditional way to dry paddy under sunshine

Drawbacks of traditional way• Not possible during rain or at night. Delays in drying lead to

moldy grain and yellow kernels <Losses happen>• Difficult to control temperature.If the sunshine is too

strong,overheating of grains can result in cracked grains.When we mill the rice,the broken kernel percentage

will be high. <Losses happen> ＊ According to our experience,the cracked kernels could be up

to 50% if the paddy is not dried properly under sunshine

Advantages of driers• Stable temperature -avoid overheating • No delay if the weather is bad -avoid delay• The cracked kernels could be reduced to below 10% by using driers

＊ The heat is provided from burning husk,the cost is lower than diesel.Energy saving.

Storage

Problems warehouses generally have

• Rats&birds

• Flood,typhoon,….etc
