Programme Outcomes

1. People having better chances in life with better access to training and development to improve their life skills.

2. Stronger communities with more active citizens working together to tackle their problems.

3. Improve rural and urban environments which communities are better able to access and enjoy.

4. Healthier and more active people and communities.

Reaching Communities buildings – summary

•£100,000 + capital (plus revenue to launch project and deliver activities)

•Up to 5 years funding

•Multi-purpose buildings

• Eligible areas (check website)

•Mainly refurbishment and alterations

•Development Grant available

•3 stage application process

Who can apply?

• Building located in eligible area (LSOA)

• VCS organisation/registered charity

• Community Interest Company

• Town or Parish Council

• Not for profit organisation

• Social enterprise

• Freehold/leasehold interest

• Post asset transfer NOT before

Three application stages

STAGE ONE – need and difference

STAGE TWO – how the project will be run

STAGE THREE – business plan and capital delivery plan

TIMESCALES – allow circa 18 months
