Each year over 600,000 child admissions are made to hospitals across Australia. Today, Starlight can only reach one in three of these children. Starlight’s ultimate goal is to enable every child access to Starlight programs.
Eleven-year-old Feride was a healthy girl when she was diagnosed with a rare malignant bone cancer on her jaw. Feride asked “mummy am I going to die?” After a 12 hour operation she began months of aggressive chemotherapy.
Thankfully, the Starlight Express Room, Starlight TV, Fun Centres and Captain Starlight took her mind off the illness.
Feride’s Starlight Wish is to be trained as an actress and visit the set of Neighbours. We hope this can be granted in November.
This Christmas, we hope to grant 182 urgent Starlight Wishes to seriously ill children like Feride.
Help Starlight give seriously ill children what they desperately need, a reason to smile.

Launched in July 2007 by Australian designer Joanne Thomas and her partner Nathan Hawkins, Milkshaxs has been created to provide a range of baby wear that is simple, fun and yet striking, catching every eye from highly respected stockists to national media.
Milkshaxs is fresh with extreme activity based graphics and for the softer approach a touch of class and simplicity. This radical diversity is from mountain bikers performing back flips to a stunning bamboo print. Milkshaxs brings a passion and playfulness to the world of baby fashion that is highlighted by each of their garments.
Offering indulgent and often eco friendly materials such as bamboo, quality, fit as well as form of every garment is of the highest importance, priding themselves on bold graphics and pushing the boundaries of conventional baby fashion concepts.
Milkshaxs collection proves to be very popular with parents and kids alike, as this review in Celebrity Baby Clothes shows “We are in awe of the funky baby clothes at Milkshaxs, a hip and soon to be “IT” company”.
