How to use Quizlet for note cards

Step 1: Go to www.quizlet.comor

Use the link posted on my blog in March.

New Users:Fill in the relevant information and click the box to agree to the terms of service. Then, click “Sign Up.” After this screen, scroll down and click “Continue on with Free Quizlet.”

Step 2: Sign up for an account orlog in if you have already made one.

Please make your user name your name or some approximation of your name so that I can tell who you are.

Step 3: Create a set of note cardsby clicking the “Create” button.

Use this title.

List your 3 topics here.

Set both to “English”

Once yours looks like this, scroll down.

The author’s last name (or article title in quotations if no author is listed) goes here. Feel free to place the topic in parenthesis. The actual notes go on this side.

Step 4: Take notes.Keep Quizlet open, and open one of your sources. Tabbed browsing is key.

If using, Facts on File or another database, locate the citation at the bottom.

If not, use your Works Cited page. The first piece of information from the Works Cited entry belongs in the left hand column.

Once you have taken 15 notes, click “Create Set.”

Go back to my blog and click the second link posted in my March 25 entry. This will enroll you in my class, Clark ENG III.

Click “Add a Set” and select your cards. They should be titled, “Research Paper 2013.”
