Correct

Mumble

Incorrrect

A very low number of people are smart enough to know that they do not know how names are said.

Many names are often mumbled.

Far more are blatantly mispronounced.

Bosses and HR start the cycle.

Bosses don’t give a shit

about new people, and many

will not correct them.

HR assumes the

name is pronounced

correctly by themselves.

They assume HR knows the

correct way to say the name.

New employee is introduced to

the staff with the

misstated name.

First impressions stick.

Having been

introduced to the staff

once, the new

improper

pronunciation

becomes the office

standard.

Few will relearn names quickly.

Sure you can

remember Jesus’

name….

But what was the

name of the other

guy?

Office will only

remember BANANA.

Honest attempt

Wrong

People are quitters

After two syllable names most people give an honest attempt but do not really care if they get it

Anything past 4 syllables and it’s a crap shoot at best.

The real victims are three syllable names.

People add accents and stress the incorrect areas without a care.

Once they make up their minds, that’s how the name will always be.

Not a hard name.

Nothing surprising.

Two known words together.

Common Mistakes

Besides the initial hire, there are often mistakes with Puplava.

The most common is thinking to far into it.

It is not a fancy name and should not be treated as such.

It is just pup and lava joined to make a name. A pointer to a person.

PUP

• Think “puppy”

• Yes just like the dog mark is!

• Now for the tricky second syllable…

LAVA

• Again, simple

known word.

• Think “the shit

that comes out

of a volcano”

• Yes, molten

rock from the

Earths mantle.
