Proximity Experiences (pX) – MEX Event 2011

A talk I gave at the MEX, the user experience event in London, 2011. I spoke about local interactions and coined a new buzzword: "pX". I warned that the same interaction can be recreated with different technologies, so don't put all your eggs in one NFC-enabled basket. 2 years later, Apple's adoption of low energy Bluetooth (BLE) and rejection of NFC is likely to have a big effect on proximity experiences.
