In 1944 informed Lithuanians about the Second World War.

Since then, the show Polish language became a part of this show.

“Znad Wilii”: “We share information”

About

“Znad Willi” – Lithuania based radio station. More than 20 years has a leading position

among Polish media in Lithuania. Presents the latest news from Lithuania and

the world, as well as current information from Vilnius.

The first program was attributed to the July 1, 1992 [1].

The content:

80 % of daily schedule consists of contemporary music.

20 % dedicated to the latest news around the world.

The content:

The programs consists political, economic, educational, social, cultural, and entertainment information.

There are also relay radio programs of the European Radio for Belarus and Polish Radio External Service.

Topics:

Without current news around the world “Znad Wilii” also pays a lot of attention to Polish-Lithuanian relations, including problems that Polish minority nowadays might be facing in Lithuania.

Diversity of languages

News mostly is in Polish. Some news summaries are presented

in Russian and Lithuanian as well. The music basically is in Polish,

Russian and English.

24/7 Broadcast. Available in Vilnius, the capital of

It symbolizes the waves of Neris river in Vilnius.

The idea of the station:

According to its general manager, Mirosław Juchniewicz, the idea of this radio station “is to unite all who seek agreement over divisions”.

Same topics Variety of audiovisual production in

polish language is still poor. National broadcaster does not pay

attention.
