HOW ??

.. RECYCLING PAPER ..

Steps for recycling paper:• Cut the newspaper into small pieces;

• Immerse them in a container with water and bleach;

• Leave to soak for a few days in order to whiten and soften it;

• Press in such a way as to eliminate part of the water;

• Chop the mixture by means of a mixer;

• Place the whole in a sieve and press it;

• Put the mixture into an oven so that all the water evaporates;

• And here's our recycled paper;

FROM PRODUCTION…TO USE!

The city of Bitonto is sponsoring the distribution

of recycling biodegradable bags

We have proposed recycling in our school through the use

of these bags and boxes

• We used cardboard boxes of eggs;

AND IN TERMS OF RECYCLING THIS was OUR IDEA FOR EASTER:

• The underneath part has been cut in such a way that the individual egg compartments have been used to create the Easter chick;

• The two pieces thus obtained have been stuck together through the tape placed on one side of the box and after they have been covered with paper glue to make them more resistant;

• Everything has been colored with yellow paint;

• We have added the orange pieces of cardboard under the “body” of the chick to make the legs and the beak;

In our city there are several abandoned buildings, but the building that has struck our interest is one   near our school ... And here's how it is!

… WATER …

Water covers more than 70% of the Earth's surface and is a very important resource for people and environment, and through pollution their health is impaired.

The water treatment plant “ Sinni” is considered the most important in our region, the treated water is that of the river Monte Cotugno. The finished product is drinking water free of bacterial forms, but rich in minerals: calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium. Drinking water is then sent into the distribution network. The plant is located near the Baker Farm in the rural city of Laterza (TA).

Plastic Apulian water works :

The gravity settling is a method of mechanical separation of the steps that make up an emulsion or a suspension that is based on the process of spontaneous sedimentation. Its effectiveness depends on the density of the suspended particles that must be greater than the liquid which acts as a solvent. Another parameter that influences decantation is the size of the suspended particles, the smaller they are, less effective  decantation is.

Sedimentation tanks :

These tanks are equipped with pipes that are connected with all the water supply tanks to keep them under constant control. These are always working but even  so t water is never wasted because it is sent into the tanks.

Tanks of treated water:

Dehydration is a treatment to which sludge,  from the sludge line of sewage treatment or potable water plants, is subjected to reduce the water content and makes the subsequent operations of processing and disposal or incineration cheaper and easier.Dehydration can be performed either on a rough mud or on a building.After treatment, the sludge that is formed has a semi- solid consistency. In the case where it is foreseen the incineration of sludge, dehydration has the task of increasing the calorific value of the mud itself.

Sludge dehydration:

Water is  a common property and  it is limited and as such it should not be wasted in vain ...

We need to think about those who don’t have this precious good …….. don’t waste it!

Respecting environment is important for all ...

If we don’t respect it we do a damage to ourselves and our

surroundings ...Water pollution, due to

numerous factors, causes fish death …

To show people the project, we all have been carrying forward for two years and to make them understand the importance of these projects that link different countries, we thought to make posters,which show the individual experiences and activities and exibit them at the municipality of Bitonto ...
