Introduction

• Our project is based on a box filling machine that is totally automated and only needs the input commands from the user.

• In the industry there are several processes that involve the filling of boxes, bottles, cartons etc.

Main components

The main components of the box filling machine are as given below:

Conveyor belt Programmable Logic Controller Terminal panel Variable Frequency Drive Induction Motor Stepper Motor Sensors

Main componentsConveyor Belts

First Conveyor belt will use to take the box from one section to another.

Second conveyor will use for conveying the objects to the box

Main componentsProgrammable Logic Controller

PLC controls all the functions of the machine. It accepts inputs from various sensors, switches, relays etc.

It performs certain calculations on that inputs and generate the corresponding outputs to control the process.

Main components

Variable Frequency Drive:

It will use to control the motion of induction motor that in turns control the movement of Boxes to be filled on conveyor belt.

Main components Terminal panel:

A terminal panel is used to display the status of various operations.

Main components• Induction motor:

It is used to operate the conveyor belts.

Main components• Stepper motor:

It is used to control the position of filling box .It has a stopper to stop the box.

Main components• Sensors:

Different sensors are used for detection of boxes.

IR sensor is used for counting of filling objects in the boxes.
