Prague City Guide

Having experienced numerous occupations, religious reform and a couple of wars, Prague has not been without upheaval.

However its unique cultural environment also inspired some of the most beautiful architecture in Europe.

There are numerous luxury and boutique hotels such as Art Deco Imperial Hotel and Le Palais Hotel located near the city centre, both of which contain friendly staff. These are also good places to dine on food you genuinely miss at the end of a meal.

If you’re on a budget, Hotel Yasmin has a convenient location and an avant-garde charm that will appeal to your artistic side.

Where to Stay

The atmospheric Bily Konicek restaurant in Old Town has a mouthwatering menu and delicious cocktails at a reasonable price.

Where to Eat

If you’re into the alternative scene, you’ll love Batalion.

Not only does it feature comic art all over its walls, you can get a cocktail for around £3.

Where to Drink

Jama pub near Wencelas Square also has a great vibe and cheap food options.

Literature fans are sure to find the Franz Kafka’s museum of interest. The city brims with sculptures and statues, both as standalone pieces and integrated into the architecture; from David Černý’s giant babies outside Zizkov Television Tower to the sculptures of two men swivelling at the waist and urinating near the Kafka museum.

Arts and Culture

There’s also no shortage of stunning graffiti near motorways and urban dwellings, lending this ancient city a modern touch.

With flights to Prague priced from £45, this really is a must-see destination for any person looking for an incredible trip away.
