Africa as slaves, they are the last on the
social pyramid.
Important figures
Miguel Hidalgo was a Criollo Catholic priest of the village
of Dolores. He rallied the people of mexico to fight
against the Spanish by standing on top of the church
yelling “Vivir La Guatalupe.”
Proclaimed himself as emperor, after he led his men
as a general to help win the war.
The Spanish church was used to rally the indijos to fight back.
