Weight Gain
Weigh all young birds together at start of project. Divide that total weight by the number of birds in the project to get the average weight of one. As the project progresses, weigh 5 or 6 average-sized birds together. Again, divide their total weight by the number of birds to determine the weight of one average bird. Do this at least 4 times during your project.
