PSA Sines (also known as Sines Container Terminal) commenced operations in May 2004. Located 150 kilometres south of Lisbon, it is free of any urban congestion and has abundant land for expansion. Well connected by road and rail to the main hinterland, the terminal is positioned to be the preferred Atlantic gateway for Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula.

PSA Sines is also suitably located at the cross-roads of two main shipping route – the North-South (30 nautical miles away) and the East-West (70 nautical miles), making it the ideal port of call where the two trade routes meet.
