symbolFor reminds us what is true life . First , we need to creat an symbol like religious symbol .

The symbol is epitome of religion’s doctrines . Viewers will change their emotion and throught when seeing the symbols .

I let the symbol transform to a component , not a building or architecture .

The symbol will be an prototype , we can assembly our components in any forms or shapes .

So , the image of primitive emotions can spread out .

In the taipei city , the true meaning of life is oblivion .

Our life become too busy , so we have no chances to stop , talk , rest or release .

I prefer the contemporary primitive huts should remind us what is true life meaning , and give us faith , hope and opportunity to face our future .

OISTAT Theater Architecture Competition

Adaptable CloudingA performance is a storytelling in an artistic form and a dramatic event that creating a representational illusion. People come to see on live performance for its sense of sensual trueness and spiritual inspiration. To play a role of composing different sceneries within St. Anna as theaters, we tried to incept a lightweight inflatable ETFE module to create spaces in an organic order to adapt different types of performances. The performance can be runway show, modern dance or pop music concert and etc. The lightweight inflatable ETFE module visually acts as conglomerated cloud, which provides an atmosphere for theatrical effect and a resolution for St. Anna’s acoustic issue as well.

The cloud can be constructed and deconstructed easily and located anywhere inside and outside the church as it needs. The material and construction method reflect an attitude of maintaining a friendly environment. The cloud remains at its sky level when there’s no performance and delicately floats upon the church’s high ceiling level creating a religious air with the Holiness. The ground floor is elevated to 60cm for accommodation of folding chairs and mechanics of lifting stage floor and air conditioned ducts. The roof is redesigned as a steel tube truss system for the use of lighting and audio facilities. The modern form of the roof truss also indicates the role of this important landmark of Prague as a cultural heritage and a future role for the new era in theater.

Night Market

Night Narket located under an overpass , Is Yi-Lan’s

biggest night market. Next to the market are few

department stores , making it a special shopping district ,

combining both traditional Taiwanese food and clothing.

Zhongshang Park

Zhongshang Park is an large open space in the area , on the

right side are two neighboring elementary schools , in the

area is a performance stage , most performance are held

here.

Lunar Plaza

Yi-lan Lunar Plaza formerly a jailhouse , was reconstructed

into a shopping center during 2008 . With hisrorical

buildings and green facilities around it , the district has

transformed into an artistic area,

Wine Factory

A special hictorical tourist site where you can taste some

wine .

Er-Waang Community

Er-Wang Community is known for its special traditional

craftworks . The local citizens has inherited these works for

many generations , and hope that these works and

memories of the community could pass on .
