VERTIVAL FARM ( BLOMSTRA) GK 7 2012
In the future, the practice of conventional farming will become increasingly difficult. The lack of farmland, combined with the growth of population creates a demand for other ways of farming.
the bLoMstrA has all the features of the vertical farm, the scale of the conventional green house, and in addition it has mobility, flexibility and efficiency. The BLOMSTRA can be put into larger structures, it can be a part of a medium scale farm and a family can use it as a personal farm. the bLAnK can also be used as a farming system for areas with drought, famine or natural disasters. the 798 vertical farm displays how the bLoMstrA can function in a larger scale urban farming system. Combining the flexibility of the BLOMSTRA with a high-rise structure, the 798 farm functions as an easily controllable farming system, with the ability to feed up to 1400 people in an urban situation. Situated in the south of the 798 district of Beijing, the 798 farm takes the flexibility of the bLoMstrA and combines it with the qualities of what a large scale vertical farming system can add to create a highly efficient urban farm. The roofing of the food court consists of solar panels, creating energy for the farm, and the aquaculture provides an efficient water filtration system for the BLANK units in the high-rise structure. In addition to these functions, the 798 farm also contains a food court, shops, restaurants, an educa-tional centre and a hotel. the bLoMstrA has the ability to act as a fully functional hotel room, with the main essentials needed for a basic hotel experience. The 798 farm acts as an example of how the small-scale vertical farming system BLOM-strA can be put into a large-scale urban situation. the 798 farm joins together the dif-ferent parts of the 798 district, while giving the district a new unique feature in the urban landscape of beijing.

CONFUSES CENTRE OSLO GK 7 2012
the Confuses school its placed in a abandoned house in the centre of the city of oslo. the area have been heavily modernised with both cultural and educational institutions. they create a cultural hub alongside Akerelva river in oslo. implementa-tion of Chinese culture and traditions in the Norwegian context is the main focus for this project, and how to reinterpret Chinese architectural traditions in to a temporary context. The use of wood became a strong leading element since both china and norway has long traditions in the use of wood. therefore, wooden constructions from both countries were merged and created a new structure. this was going to be the spine for the project. the brick walls were the only elements that did not need replacement, and became a symbiotic element with the wooden construction. to make the communication flow between the different programs the firewalls needed to be perforated. this was done with the traditional Chinese round door as an idea. the architectural volume frames a courtyard that is protected from the street. the most extroverted programs use the courtyard as an arena for its activities. The vertical communication is placed in between the courtyard and the program inside so you feel the change of program and the perception of the nature when you are moving in the vertical direction. the biggest and most active programs its placed as a part of the communication inside so the use of corridors is minimised. the new facade will expose the wooden structure and work as a lamp that will change expressions from
day to night. the semitransparent panelling its placed at the more private areas.

URBANISM- CYKLE CITY GK 5 2010
Fredrikstad is a city 100km south of oslo. the site/plot is a former important shipyard in the city center, Fredrikstad Me-kaniske verksted (FMv). The Sycle City intend to be a supplement and an extension of the existing city center and aims to attract industry, enter-tainment, housing and pedestrian life to the center. The existing city structure its dependent of the new part of the city to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050. the new district converts the organic waste from the region to biogas for public transport and fertilizer for the two new greenhouses. the consequence ofdealing with, and reusing waste, reduces carbon emission and provide the whole city with vegetables. we create the sycle. The north part of the plot must have a flood protection due to differences in height, so we create an artificial landscape with a biogas plant, water purifying plant, info center and parking on the ground level. Greenhouses, a park with culti-vated fields, sports facilities and a promenade along the river on the upper level.this creates an interaction between industry and environ-mental living in an urban context.in addition to the park, the project also incorporates sustainable technologies in the built area with use of solar power, rainwater harvesting, focus on materials etc.

PEDESTRIAN TUBEBRIDGE GK 4 2010
on harestua is 80% of the inhabitants are commuters to oslo. the prognoses of the population growth form 2800 in 2010 to 7000 in 2020.As a consequence of this prognosis, harestua will need to improve the infrastructure from the new city center to the train station to meet the universal design requirements and have an option for the car as trans-port.the distance has a height difference of 39 m, and 275 m in linear distance and gets precluded by roads and ski slopes three places.this and the topography were the main parameters for the project. the tubebrige consist of tree vertical towers, with a horizontal link between them represented by the walkway. The movement in, over and through the landscape gives a diversified sett off experi-ences and situations framed inn by the architecture.some of the architectural elements in use to be opening, closing, pull in and hide the landscape; this is to make a diverse experience each time.

120 HOURS ConsEPtuAL CoMPEtition 2011
We want to expand the public use of Tullinlkka, make the space more attractive to all social groups, and expand the range of activities at the site. it would therefore be against our intention to confiscate the square with a permanent building with a locked program. the project is not a building, but a framing of, and preparation for, any activity that is initiated at the site. A structure to be able to accommodate the unforeseen and temporary. The structure is designed to provide flexibility in spatial layout to optimize for the given program. Yhe square is given an extra dimension, it is no longer just an empty plot in the urban land-scape, but a stage for city residents to adopt.the design consists of twelve trussframes. the frames are at-tached to rails on the ground and are mobile in the east-west axis. The framework consists of telescopic pillars carrying a trussframe. the telescoping columns makes it possible to raise and lower the height of each frame. between the frames a membrane stretches that is stored in a roll in each beam and allows the membrane to always be in tension despite the varying distance of the frames. the membrane can also be unhooked of frame at one end, and open up the structure at selected loca-tions.the structure will be able to accommodate everything from food market, art exhibitions and concerts, to sports events.
