St Johns Cathedral• officially called The Cathedral Church of

St. John the Evangelist, located at 4 Garden Road, Central

• It is the oldest surviving western ecclesiastical building in HK

• It was completed in 1849 • It was built in early English and gothic

style and is built in the shape of a cross• It use to be a club house for the

Japanese in WW2

• It costed £8,736 to for St Johns to be built

• It has Sunday schools for both children and adults

Po Lin Monastery•Po Lin Monastery is located on Lantau Island on Hong Kong

•The monastery was founded in 1906 by three monks and was finished in 1924

• The big Buddha is also a part of the monastery

•The monastery is quite big it has lots different rooms, halls and they even have a pond and a garden in the monastery

•Lot’s of tourists go to the Po Lin Monastery but it is a great place for people who want to worship the Buddha

Ten Thousand Buddha's Monastery

• This monastery is located at 220 Pai Tau Village, Shatin in Hong Kong

• The monastery was completed in 1957• The main building of the monastery is

the Ten Thousand Buddhas Temple • The monastery has totally 5 different

temples • It actually took eight years to complete

all buildings and another ten years to finish the all more than 12,000 Buddha's statues

•Some of the statues there were painted with pure gold
