Firstly, I duplicated the photo and using the ‘Spot healing tool’ I clicked on all the spots to cover them up to make his face clearer. Then using the ‘Burn tool’ I defined his eyebrows to fill in the gaps.

To make his skin appear even smoother, I used the ‘Smart Blur’ to blur the image. I did this in another duplicated slide.

I then proceeded to rub the background, the hair, and his clothing so that only his face is blurred to appear smooth. I did this using the ‘Eraser Tool.’

I then attempted to the change the colour of the models eyes. Using the ‘Quick Selection Tool’ I selected both of the irises.

I chose the colour blue to change his eye colour to.

As the blue looked too obvious and unrealistic I changed the opacity to 38% to make it more realistic and transparent.

Hair Colour and Teeth Whitening

Using the ‘Quick Selection Tool’ I selected all of the hair, I then used the ‘add’ and ‘subtract’ tools to chose more carefully the hair that didn’t automatically get selected.

I chose to colour her hair using the ‘Lipstick’ colour.

Using the ‘Eraser Tool’ I erased the sections which had been automatically selected and coloured red but weren’t her hair.

I used the ‘Quick Selection Tool’ once again to select the models teeth.

I then experimented with increasing and decreasing the lightness to make her teeth appear whiter with the ‘Colour Picker Tool.’
