We welcome you to Worship on this 3rd Sunday in May. Pastor Karen Ren-ner will be preaching from Acts 1: 15-17, 21-26 with the sermon title “People On the Way”. We look for-ward to her message.
The “in sanctuary” Worship continues to be going well so we hope that you will sign up to join us when you feel comfortable doing so. Our committee continues to be working diligently to honor LPC traditions within the guidelines for safe gathering. We ap-preciate your feedback and try to honor requests where we are able.
Pentecost Offering Sunday, May 23rd Our Pentecost Offering provides a direct way to meet the needs of children-at-risk, youth and young adults. Presbyterian congregations are finding new ways to minister to children-at-risk in their own communities, and General Assembly pro-grams are advocating for children and developing youth and young adult lead-ers. Congregations are encouraged to keep 40% of the offering to support minis-try with children-at-risk in their own communities. We believe we are called to do even more to support and care for young peo-ple. They are the future of our faith and the world. Bless you as you give generously toward the Pentecost Offering. When you write your check please put “Pentecost Offering” on the memo line of your check or you can donate online at our website, just click on “Give”. Your checks can be either mailed to the Church or dropped off at our Drive Thru Church.

Call to Confession JERRY TUCKER
Prayer of Confession
Holy God, we open our hearts to you this day, and offer the truth of our lives; the fear that stifles us, the prejudice that blinds, the igno-rance that hobbles us, the doubt that plagues us. Help us, we pray, that we will find courage in unlikely places, see the world with new and gracious eyes, move to those places where love is needed, have faith that you are with us. This we pray is Jesus’ name. Amen.
Assurance of Forgiveness
Leader: Hear the Good News: We are forgiven! We are set free to go out into the world and be the loving, gracious, hopeful people of God!
All: Alleluia! Amen.

Benediction PASTOR KAREN
Open my eyes, that I may see Glimpses of truth thou hast for me; Place in my hands the wonderful key That shall unclasp and set me free
Silently now I wait for thee Ready, my God, thy will to see Open my eyes, illumine me, Spirit di-vine!
Open my ears, that I may hear Voices of truth thou sendest clear, And while the wavenotes fall on my ear Everything false will disappear
Silently now I wait for thee Ready, my God, thy will to see Open my ears, illumine me, Spirit di-vine!
Open my mouth, and let me bear Gladly the warm truth everywhere; Open my heart and let me prepare Love with thy children thus to share
Silently now I wait for thee Ready, my God, thy will to see Open my heart, illumine me, Spirit divine!
Lord I lift Your name on high Lord I love to sing Your praises I’m so glad You’re in my life I’m so glad You came to save us
You came from heaven to earth to show the way From the earth to the cross, my debt to pay Fromm the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky Lord I lift your name on high

We learn from the disciples and other biblical ancestors that the Spirit rarely calls us to go where we want to go. Has that been true in your life as a disciple? _____________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ 3. As Presbyterians, we believe God speaks most strongly and clearly through the voices of each other.
