Penny Project Directions. Students will collect ten pennies with different years on them that are relevant to their life or their family . (Tape the pennies to a sheet of paper to keep up with them; jot down things that you can remember from those years.) MUST DO!!! - PowerPoint PPT Presentation

Penny Project Directions• Students will collect ten pennies with

different years on them that are relevant to their life or their family. (Tape the pennies to a sheet of paper to keep up with them; jot down things that you can remember from those years.) MUST DO!!!

• Do not CREATE a history project about world EVENTS.

• In PowerPoint the students will create a minimum of 11 slides, which includes the title slide and the ten penny stories.

• Stories can be long, short, funny, not so funny, etc. Please keep the information factual.

• Use PowerPoint or Publisher• Students are to create a mini-penny life book

that contains glimpses of their life based off of the year that is represented by the penny.

In 1935…In 1935 the greatest

woman on Earth was born to Caroline Williams Stewart & Henry Stewart. Her name is Mildred Stewart Randolph! I love my grandmother very much! She lived to be 77 years old. She passed away in Oct. 2012

*In the 1980s…I was an elementary student at Monticello Elementary School.

My kindergarten teachers were Mrs.

Smith & Mrs. Collins. My mom was also a

teacher there; at this time.

*In 1992…Sigma Gamma Rho celebrated

70 years of excellence!Today SGRho is 85 years old!

In 1922 at Butler USeven school teachers decided

*In 1993…

• At the age of three, my baby sister was adopted. She is now 22 years old! (19 years ago)

*In 1999-2000 School Year…

• Lawrence County football team won the high school football state championship!!!

• Also the year my grandfather died.

*In 2001…• I started the Business office technology &

microcomputer technology program

at co-lin.• 9/11 The Twin towers

were destroyed. Brave Americans lost

their lives for us.• My nephew,

Randolph was born. (My second oldest

nephew)

*In 2003…• I graduated from Copiah-Lincoln Community College!

• I had some of my best times at Co-Lin; met a lot of cool folks.

*In 2004…

• I started college at The University of Southern Mississippi; to pursue Business & Technology Education

*In 2005…• My nephew Rodrick was

born…He was soooo badddd! He’s a good fella now.

• I pledged to Sigma Gamma Rho, Sorority Inc. DRQ3C1VoSGR

• Hurricane Katrina came through and destroyed New Orleans, the Gulf Coast, and surrounding areas.– I was stuck at USM because

I was a Resident assistant.– Life was crazy, my car

survived, some cars didn’t– The bathrooms were

disgusting with only 40 girls, imagine life with thousands of other people.

– We didn’t have lights– A huge tree fell on my

granny’s shed.

*In 2007…• I flew to Chicago to

participate in the National Leadership Conference, My birthday was that same week; the 6 other teachers I went with to Chicago gave me a cake; I was so surprised I cried!

• I graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors Degree in Business & Technology Education!

• I started teaching at McComb High School!

• I met Jayla Shemi Daughtry-Sartin. One of my beautiful nieces!

In 2012

• Celebrated my 5th year @ MHS.

• The McComb School District renovated my classroom/Computer Lab; 20 new tables, 40 chairs & 40 new DakTech computers!

2013

• Sow Love, Reap Love. This year is full of possibilities! God is doing new things for me already and it is only February.

• I am over the Youth Choir at my church along with my oldest sister. Those kids be sanging! We also have a drill team & praise dancers that are part of the Youth Ministry; under the leadership of 2 dynamic young ladies.

• I also joined various ministries in the church; & looking forward to starting a Spoken Word/Drama Ministry.
