In a Parliamentary form of Government, the day-to-day working of the Parliamentary system makes large claims on time and resources of the

various Ministries/Departments.

Parliamentary programme covers numerous intricate matters-financial, legislative and non-legislative-concerning various Ministries/Departments

of the Government.

The Ministry renders secretarial assistance to the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, which, inter-alia recommends prorogation of both

the Houses of the Parliament, Govt's stand on Private Members' Bills and Resolutions.

In May 2015, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh effected a reshuffle in his council of ministers with the induction of three new

faces in his cabinet.

Panchayat and Rural Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ajay Chandrakar has been given the charge of Health, Family Welfare and

Medical Education.

The Parliamentary Ministry is dedicated for the implementation of the Policies, Plans and Programmes in respect of services provided by

the Members of the Parliament.

Organises of Youth Parliament Competitions in schools and colleges throughout the country.
