Last four months, since the last print issue of Palaash in Aug 2019, have been hectic,
with a lot of activities – academic, events (both professional and cultural) and
achievements (both at the university level and individual student level).
During the Teachers' Day celebrations, Awards of recognition were given to
teachers in various categories like Teaching-Learning, Research Publications,
Institution Development, Student Activities etc.
Convocation of our University was held on 5th Nov. 2019, wherein Justice Sri. D.N.
Upadhyay, Lokayukta of Jharkhand and Dr. K.K. Nag, Former Vice-Chancellor of
Ranchi University and former Member, Board of Governors of the University were the guests of honour.

After the convocation, we held an Alumni Meet, which attracted a large number of alumni, particularly
from out-locations. It was like a Family Reunion, wherein Alumni relived their memoirs, shared their
experiences.

of Industry-Academia Partnership with the German MNC, Bosch for Vocational Training. A number of
guest lectures were conducted by senior managers from the industry.
Placement Season for 2020 has just commenced and the initial indications are that placements will be good,
despite a more difficult Job Market. In order to build awareness among our students on the job market
trends and career opportunities in the emerging Tech-enabled sectors like FinTech, Digital Marketing, AI
etc. We started a weekly electronic newsletter, i-Nowkri, which has seen release of three issues so far. While
all of our students are intelligent, they need to put in more concerted efforts to get selected in the highly
competitive and demanding job markets.
In order to increase the frequency of Communication on Campus activities, we started a monthly e-Palaash
since Sep 2019.
We plan to host a lot of events in the next few months, which include National Youth Festival, Seminar on
Cyber Security and Data Privacy Laws in India, Industry Visits etc.
