According to latest Hydrological condition River Indus at Kotri is likely to attain very High to Exceptionally High flood level ranging between 750,000 to 900,000 (cusecs) around 25.08.2010.Under this scenario, the inundation and riverine flooding in low lying areas of District Hyderabad, Thatta and adjoining areas along with river bed is expected.

- The Commission will mobilise anadditional EUR30 million in urgent relief assistance. This latest funding will bring the total humanitarian aid funds to EUR70 million. - Reinforcement of DG ECHO fieldoffice in Islamabad with additional fieldexpertise. Currently 8 DG ECHO staffin Pakistan, including a civil protectionexpert from the MIC. On 19 August the MIC deployed a team of 5 experts to join the MIC LO in Pakistan. - Several participating states haveoffered in-kind assistance through theMechanism.
