Location

• Located in the small town of Radda in Chianti.• Livernano is a truly ancient place.

– First inhabited by Etruscans.– Later occupied by the Romans who gave it its name. – Served as a fortified border post during the interminable wars of the two great

medieval city states in Tuscany, Siena and Florence.

Location• Today, Livernano is once again a working farm, producing

fine wines, excellent olive oil, honey, vegetables and fruits. • The estate consists of 458 acres.• Has 38 acres of grape vineyard that consist of 9 different

grape varieties.• The remaining 420 acres consist of beautiful mature

woodland that surrounds the hamlet on all sides.

Location

History• Livernano began its renewal in 1990, when a huge restoration of the

entire estate was completed. • Bob Cuillo and his Austrian wife, Gudrun, purchased the estate in 2002.• They set about modernizing and restoring Livernano to its former glory. • At Livernano grapes are growing respecting the environment through

sustainable farming. All this for a single purpose: to achieve the best quality of grapes from this wonderful land.

Philosophy

• There are no efforts or expenses spared in producing the wines – combining the history and ancient grapes of Tuscany with the most modern techniques and latest knowledge.

• The vineyards were planted over 15 years ago, with vines specifically suited to the area’s unique soils and microclimate, at high densities, and pruning for exceptionally low yields.

OwnersRobert and Gudrun Cuillo•Entrepreneurs and Broadway producers •Have a very “hands-on” approach•They personally work the land and always participate in the harvest, handpicking and hand sorting the grapes. •Their dreams of creating a world class wine was realized when Livernano received four Tre Bicchieri awards in four years from Gambero Rosso.
