AS LONG AS / SO LONG AS = IF• You can borrow my car as long as you promise not to drive too fast.

Usually Unless + positive sentence = meaning is negative• BUT !!!!!!!• Don’t go out in the midday sun unless you really can’t avoid it.• (unless + negative = for emphasis)• (if you can avoid it)
